I have a laptop, that is quite old, but even on games like Minecraft, game lags horribly. Sometimes it gets 120fps but sometimes it dips as low as 2fps.
I have everything on the lowest setting and it doesn't help.
All of the Drivers are updated.

Here are the specs:
AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-74, 2.20Ghz.
ATI Radeon HD 3100 256MB Integrated Graphics.
4GB RAM.
149GB Vista (C) Drive, 147GB Data Drive.
Windows Vista Home Premium SP2.

If anybody has a suggestion please reply.

Minecraft is far from simple, it's capable of maxing out any CPU. LOL so a old CPU like yours WILL lag.

I used to play it on a 3rd Generation Intel CPU with half the dedicated graphics and I had a lot less Frame drops, like I said, sometimes I'm getting 120fps and which then could dip to about 2fps.

You can play Minecraft with NO DEDICATED graphics at all and it would run awesome on a decent CPU. Mincraft is not graphically intense AT ALL.

A Core I3 is a hell of a lot better than that laptop.

And one more thing to note is integrated garphics on modern CPUs are a lot more powerful than that laptops dedicated card.

Any tips on how to maybe make it not drop so many frames?

With Minecraft, almost nothing much you can do.

Just confirm you are not overheating, pretty much just that you can do.
Use HWmonitor or RealTemp.
