4 Pin Fan to 3 Pin Fan Controller ?

all my fans inside my pc have 4 pin connectors, but i want to add a fan controller onto my case but all the controllers come with 3 pin connectors could i still plug the 4 pin fans into the 3 pin connectors ?

yes, 3 pins are the same black is negative, red positive and green rpm counter, without the fourth one connected the fan always runs max speed (like a 3 pin fan), the fourth is for integrated speed controller inside the fan or something like that, you could have googled it btw
