I have a APU 3850.
I bought a Radeon 7790 and there is no signal.
Things I have done:
1: Uninstalled every previous driver
2: Disabled onboard graphics
3: Set in BIOS the video is PEG (pci)

lugged in everything correctly. 6 pin slot, graphics, etc.
5: Power supply is sufficient. (500w Antec Basiq)
6: Tried the dvi slot, hdmi slot, and vga slot to no avail.
7: tried every slot of Ram
8: Reset CMOS by jumpers
Before this my 7770 worked fine. The 7790 is not dead because I tried it in another comp.
