Does Pentium D support any 1gb graphic card?

good day to all...as the title says

CPU:Intel Pentium D 3.4ghz
RAM: 4gb
BOARD: ga8i945g pro

well i have a problem in my old video card that's why i need to change it (nvidia 512mb)... and i dont know if pentium D can handle 1gb graphic card of any model...

so far.. i want buy new graphic card... since i cant find any stores here selling 512mb graphic card

Any PCIe 1GB graphics card should work on this motherboard; however, the CPU might effect the performance of the video card

you will not get the maximum performance out of the video card.
