I have purchased these:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Now I'm wondering how to install. I built PC from scratch, but now I am confused about upgrading just these 2.

From what I've read you need to re-install windows 7(unless someone tells me otherwise).

What I'm wondering is if I do have to re-install windows 7, is there a easy way to back up everything from the hard drive?

I have a 2nd >20GB hard drive, I was wondering if I could install windows on that, then copy it over to Main one after 1st boot.

Unless someone has a better idea, such as an unlimited online cloud (good luck uploading all the files to it).

Also, if I were to re-install fresh, would I have to format harddrive, then install, or can I just reboot from disk, and have the windows setup format for me?

You need to backup whatever is important to you and perform a clean install. When you change out a board it's important to do a fresh install.

I have an External Drive that I keep my important files on.(Backup)

To install Windows 7 using the Custom option and formatting the hard disk

To format your hard disk during Windows 7 installation, you'll need to start, or boot, your computer using the Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive.

Turn on your computer so that Windows starts normally, insert the Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive, and then shut down your computer.

Restart your computer.

Press any key when prompted, and then follow the instructions that appear.

On the Install Windows page, enter your language and other preferences, and then click Next.

If the Install Windows page doesn't appear, and you're not asked to press any key, you might need to change some system settings. To learn how to do this, see Start your computer from a Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive.

On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms, and then click Next.

On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Custom.

On the Where do you want to install Windows? page, click Drive options (advanced).

Click the partition that you want to change, click the formatting option you want to perform, and then follow the instructions.

When you've finished formatting, click Next.

Follow the instructions to finish installing Windows 7, which include naming your computer and setting up an initial user account.

Thank you. Clean and to the point. Looks like I'm going to have to find some extra HDD's to back up files.

It will help you avoid lots of issues , that can arise when you don't do a clean install with a new motherboard.

Do you know of any easier ways to back up my files (and games) that I have?

I use an External drive , it's the easiest way. It's a pain but has to be done.

Games will usually have to be reinstalled.

Alright, guess I have to bite the bullet on this one.

All my games are on origin.

BF3 is 20Gb alone, and I just got the humble bundle (bough bf3 for $20 a week ago :( )
