my daughter gave me her computer she didn't have any e mail function now my old comp. has gone and I cant get my old emails on hers I might add imk nearly 80 and no way computer literate

Where do you get your email from? Not 'outlook express', that is just your local client. Who provides the email service? The part after @. as in ianJ@somewhere.com. The "somewhere,com" is your provider.

Go to their website. They will have instructions on how to connect your current email client with their service. Or, just get it online. in your web browser.
