I'm building a pc, but right now I only have around 600-700$. Since school is approaching, I'm not going to be doing too much gaming. Maybe some minecraft or tf2. So I was thinking of just getting integrated graphics for now, and then for christmas, I can get a good GPU, able to play next gen games. So will this build be sufficient for casual gaming and also for school? I live in canada and if you can build a better pc, please use NCIX.ca! Thanks

Intel i5 3470 w/ intel hd graphics 2500 - 200$

Gigabyte 78LMT motherboard - 66$

Kingston DDR3 1600 MHz 8GB - 73$

Thermaltake Commander Case - 51$

Antec Basiq 450W - 39$

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB - 72$

Windows 8 64bit - 98$

Including 50$ for ncix to build it, I'm not going to build it because my dad wants a warranty LOL. Also no shipping cost, I live 10min away from the store. Total cost of this build is 690$.

It's there, the price for the PSU is 59.99, while the regular price is 89.95.
There is no NCIX.ca, the canadian NCIX is ".com" the US site is "us.ncix.com".

The PSU is only a suggestion. You do not have to get it. But it will cost you more in the long run to upgrade it again. Antec Basiq 500W is 70 bucks regular price, and you can get the 550W version at 10 bucks less. In the end it's your call, your money.

Couple things to change:

1. (You picked an AMD socket AM3 board) your motherboard needs to be a socket LGA1155, such as this Gigabyte H61M-DS2H: http://ncix.com/products/?sku=73210&vpn=GA-H61M-DS2H&manufacture=Gigabyte

2. Your PSU, change it to Antec Basiq 550W, http://ncix.com/products/?sku=41979&vpn=BP-550%20Plus&manufacture=Antec&promoid=1300, there is a $30 off Special on it at the moment. The 450W PSU will limit your video card options in the future a lot more then a 550W one.

That is the idea. In the end, you can always ask and verify my suggestion with NCIX when they are building the system for you.

Believe me, nothing is more annoying then spending money on a new PSU, when the old one is perfectly fine but screaming like a banshee because it is under a constant load due to a high hardware load.

EDIT: Don't forget to PRICEMATCH:

even it's 2 cents, I always do.

Anyway, I hope your build will serve you well for years to come.
