Hey, sorry if this is a very dumb question but I have researched it and looked it up on these forums to no luck :(  (I may have missed something though so please don't be angry if I am re-asking)
Is it possible to Xfire a 7970 and 7850? Normally I wouldn't consider this but I have found a 7970 for very cheap and would love to buy it, but also don't want to get rid of my 7850.
So my question is can I Xfire them? (I know that if I could the 7970 would be down scaled to the power and Vram of the 7850. Also, if I have problems with games, or need more Vram, can I disable the 7850 and just enable the 7970? (only using the 7850 for Xfire))

No, you cannot crossfire different GPUs.

Anyways, why not buy the 7970 if you seem so keen on it? It'd be a great upgrade.

Ok, thanks for your time anyways
what would you recommend then? (keep my 7850 and buy a new one for about the same price as the 7970, or buy the 7970 and sell the 7850?) Xfire 7850's would be faster but would also have less Vram and I would gain money buying a 7970.... but I want to be able to possibly Xfire soon in the future for a relatively cheap price if I can.
Thanks

Sell the 7850 and buy a single 7970. Crossfire doesn't work that well right now, I wouldn't recommend it to you.
