Hi,
as mentioned above any third party software is unable to start.
As I was sleeping my pc got 2 new updates for win7 and as i went to him this morning he gave me an 'STOP ERROR 0x000005' error code for all non MS Programs as far as I could check in a brief moment. The update was about .Net Framework 4 and some other stuff. Firefox, Deamon Tools and even Avira aren't working now. So my guess would be .Net Framework4 got a nice update which now interferes with my programs using it. To be honest I do not, i repeat, I do really not have the motivation to go and search for every program that has been f***** up and reinstall it. My actual thought would be to just uninstall the update that came last night but how big are my chances to keep on working as the update was deemed 'critical' and are there other ways to get everything working without reinstalling all the programs or is my guess regarding .Net Framework going in the wrong direction?
Thanks for help in advance

I would recommend trying to uninstall that update and see if that works. If it didnt then download .NET4.0 standalone...

Thank you for that quick response. Theres only one problem I've disabled system restore points because out of experience these are one of the files getting destroyed first if it comes to a virus infection.
edit:
As far as I could collect informations 0x0000005 is an error code regarding memory and .Net framework does the memory management for the programs using it which is done via the 'garbage collector (gc)'. This tells me that this gc might be rendered unable to work or working not properly. Is there a way to detect that?

I would recommend trying to uninstall that update and see if that works. If it didnt then download .NET4.0 standalone http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=0a391abd-25c1-4fc0-919f-b21f31ab88b7&displaylang=en
and install it like that. You need to be administrator for that.
If that didn't work you could try to install the 3.5.1 standalone .net.

If that still doesnt work, you could also try running the window7 repair. Goolge windows 7 repair for that.

Hope this helps.
