Additional Comments: I haven't built a gaming computer since 2006. I am far out of the loop. I've had a gaming computer before but it was nothing special, it was in an apeiva case, with an Asus Mobo, With a Intel Quad Core, I don't remember which kind it was I just know it was an Intel Quad Core, I am unsure of the what type of "I" it was, I know that I did not like it at all. It had SLI Nvidia EVGA 8800 GTS 640 MB's Ghz Edition for graphics cards. I am unsure of the ram, I am pretty good with computers, But I am far from a master, I have the know how to put computers together and look up benchmarks but I do not know what parts would be compatible. I don't like to use the same components as in the past meaning if I used Intel, I would want to use something else aka AMD, And Nvida being the same, However I am a shopper for the best I can get for my price range. Games I plan to play will be BattleField 4, Crysis Series, including Crysis Warhead, Warcraft 3 FTF, Command and Conquer Series and the upcoming Command and Conquer game Generals 2, Mirrors Edge 2, And the new Final Fantasy game that comes out at the end of this month, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. I looked up the requirements for this game and it says it needs a 7950 as a recommended card, The last time I got a recommended card for recommended specs it was the original Crysis for PC, the 8800 GTS, It could somewhat play Crysis with bearable frame rates in fire fights. So this time around I would like to exceed the specs. I have 3 old HHD's going into this new computer as well as an okay sound card, An Xonar DGX. For the HDD's I just have to find them, they were put in storage but I know they worked in my past gaming computer that was build in the end of 06 toward the start of 07.

My gaming computer was loud, And it was in my room, This time I would like it to be quiet. The worst part was that the fan in the side panel was a blue LED and it started to die on me, sputtering and constantly getting louder and quieter, Failing to properly cool the PC. The computer started to actually over heat because of the horrible cooling the case provided. The top fan started dying first and then the side, the only good fan was the rear and CPU fan, A couple of times I have had my computer shut off due to excessive heat, This is something I would really like to prevent this time around. So a I would also like it to be Quiet as well as have alot of cooling potential, I live in TN, The AC is on all the time and my room fan is on, But I just don't want to take any chances when getting into an intense fire fight or killing stuff in games. And for those offline games, I do not want to lose any save data due to a sudden computer switch off.

I might need a new Keyboard and a new mouse, But If it exceeds my budget then I don't need it that badly, I currently have a logitech Mouse and some type of flat keyboard I received from my father. I don't game hardcore enough to need a true mechanical keyboard, however I should get a mouse. The wireless logitech seems to be losing its edge in sensibility. Perhaps a more MMO based mouse.

And Most Importantly, Why Am I Upgrading: I can only play games on super ultra low settings for any game I play with this current computer. Plus I am out of space, And this computer is 3 years old, I like to keep a newish computer.

Just found out my past Intel CPU was a Intel Core 2 Q6600.

That is a little over your budget but you could go with a cheaper case and PSU. Possibly the ones recommended by aatje92. That is just the build I was going to buy before I switched to Intel. You could also go with a standard 7970 (non GHz Edition) and save a bit of money. Actually I'll modify the build with aatje's case/psu.

i5s are about $20 more than FX8350s and require a different mother board. I'm not confident in selecting motherboards for them so I'm not going to post an i5 build. I personally have a Haswell i5 which is a bit more expensive and doesn't use the same motherboards as the cheaper Ivy Bridge.

This should do nicely.

Then you need a 7970 price for that is somewhat more the build above is more then most need if this don't suit you on the gpu side try a NVidia 760 or better. as for amd the 8350 is as high as it go,s unless you pick one of the cherry picked 9370 or 9590 cpu from amd better invest in water cooling then.

Go with a 2600k with a h80i all in one cooler 660ti forgpu noctuas or silent wings for aftermarket fans that are super quiet and have high stayic pressure or mass flow types

Sorry meant 2550k 2600k is i7 2550 is i5 i5 is cheaper and not a big difference from i7 work around that out and make sure you have board that supports and takes advantage of unlocked processor and go ssd for serious boost in speed and lower temps as it has no moving parts
