I was thinking about how computer parts have advanced over the generations and how cheap some components are now compared to what they were before.

Of course my mind wandered over to what the most possible cheap PC could possibly be. Not up to date with the latest components, I ask you guys:

Please, build me the theoretical cheapest computer possible.

(Assuming that the computer would safely boot and run any programs at all.)

Any programs at all is a tough ask - certain intensive software would fail on many low-end laptops.

Actually not so bad of a build if you add some more RAM and maybe better PSU. Will be able to use browser and some word/excel applications.
