Dicided to buy a i7 3820 and decided to use ubuntu then i'll upgrade to windows 7 64x along with windows server 2012 essential is it true that your hardware is "effectivley" halved if you run 2 opperating systems ?

Solution
Nope, you can't run them at the same time unless though virtual machines, if thats the case look at V-Sphere as your hypervisor.
If you plan to run them one at a time, the only thing that technically gets halved, would be the disk space that each OS will need for its own partition, all other resources would be fully available.
