So i have this old custom pc, and i want to upgrade the gpu in it so it will last until i can afford my new pc...

The specs i know of are:
Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 (i am not sure if its like e6600 or q6600 or what)
4gb of Ram
Nvidia 8800 GTS
450 watt PSU
2 TB Caviar Green
Not sure on motherboard

I was wondering what is the best gpu i can get without bottlenecking issues (preferably Nvidia)

Thanks :D

yeah. the entry level gaming card like GTX 650, GTX 650 Ti, HD 7750, HD 7770. it'll play everything at 720p with a bit of high details. you could enter task manager at the performance tab and see if you have 2 or 4 graphs if it's 2 it's core 2 duo, if 4, core 2 quad.

I think 660 is too much, and the scores and fps will be reduced by the platform which is slower from nowadays PCs.

With a Q6600 you would still see plenty of scaling between a 650 and a 660. The Q6600 are still very decent gaming cpu's.

That said 660's cost a fair bit more.
