do you think the Intel Core i7 4770 3.40GHz Socket 1150 8MB Cache processor good enough to play the next generation games at full spec? such as Watchdogs etc, lets say i had good enough GPU and RAM too, many thanks
I wouldn't be so hasty; the next generation of games will be forced to make use of multithreading so as to make up for the downclocked AMD CPUs that are in them. It'd be a safer bet (Note; Future proofing DOES NOT EXIST) to get an 8320/8350, due to it having 8 cores just like the consoles' processors.

To be honest mate, as it stands the i7 is great and all but it offers little more to framerates e.t.c in comparison to an i5. Plus I'd rather have an Ivybridge 3570K over a Haswell version at the moment in terms of thermal headroom.
