I have a Dual Core E5300 2.6 GHz and pushed it to 3.3 GHz with a stock cooler + a Radeon HD 6750. I have been using this setup for a year and it runs pretty well. You can try to increase the BUS in the BIOS, do a stability test and see which frequency is best for you. Maybe just to sure, try a better cooler!

Check if your motherboard supports overclocking. If not, use overclocking tools. Try the SetFSB. You can overclock the CPU from Windows. Your BUS is 200MHz. First you can increase it by 20%-25%, going to 240 or 250MHz of BUS. This is equal to 3.36 or 3.5 GHz clock speed. If it doesn't work, try some other tools!
