Hey guys, Im putting together my first ever build right now, my ram stick will not click in. I believe I pushed pretty firmly but I dont want to break anythink. They line up perfectly and go in most of the way but when I try to click them in with the white tabs on each side, the tabs are like one cm off, not even. If anybody can help Id really appreciate it.
my kingston hyperx blu sticks wont click in, they are ddr3 as is motherboard?

You do not push the tabs in. You just press the RAM into the board and the tabs will click in by themselves. It oftentimes take ALOT of force. Make sure the pins are lined up. they are NOT symmetrical.
thanks man yea i wasnt pushing them hard enough. My only other concern right now is that my motherboard cpu socket didnt have a protective covering and mine is black, not gold like most pictures ive seen. The cpu however did fit right in, Im just wondering if thats ok, or if I messed that up.
