Hello there I have an Acer Aspire with an i5-2130 and I purchased a GTX 650ti and a Corsair cx430m for it and installed them but when i turn on the psu when its plugged into the out let the fans start spinning for 3sec then off and it just repeats without me clicking the power button, also if I click the power button nothing happens. I was wondering if there is anything I could do as I don't have warranty on anything but the recently purchased gtx 650ti or psu.

My guess initially is that you don't have enough power. The 650 Ti requires a 400W PSU to power it and a typical system, so a 430W PSU may not be enough if you have a lot of other devices connected that draw power from the PSU. Try disconnecting anything that isn't absolutely necessary to boot your computer (secondary and tertiary hard drives, optical drives, USB devices other than a mouse and keyboard), and see if it will boot correctly then. If it does, you should look at getting a PSU in the 600-650W range, and if not then we'll have to try something else.

Well I uninstalled the 650 ti from the system and reinstalled the old 7350 that was in there and the same problem then I unplugged everything but the atx power connector and the cpu connector and the hard drive and tried but it still had the same problem.

No I don't think its faulty because I put everything back to the way it was before and I have the problem, I even tried resetting the bios and clearing the cmos but I still have the problem so im just gonna take it to my local shop hopefully they can figure it out if not ill probably get a new mobo.

So I went to my local store and they wanted to charge me $400 for a new mobo and case cause the mobo he pulled wat way to big for my case, so I was wondering if there are any motherboards you guys would recommend and is a 2nd generation lga1155 cpu compatible with a 4th generation mobo.
