Hey guys,

I just built my computer, but when I turned it on for the first time, I noticed that the side panel fan wont spin up. Here are the relevant parts:

Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
ASUS P9x79 PRO mobo

The front, top, and rear fans are all plugged into the power supply and are working just fine. For cable management concerns, I want to connect the side panel fan directly into the motherboard. However, when I do this, the side panel fan just wont spin up.

I'm not sure if this is just a wiring problem or are the fan headers on my motherboard dead? I tried two fan headers, and they both did not work. But i don't think this theory is true since my CPU fan is plugged into a header and working just fine. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the suggestions!

I am running a memtest on the RAM at the moment, so I will have to wait until I try them out. I'm fairly certain that it should work, but then again... you never know :p

What I did find, however, is that the power to the fan is a 3-pin fan connector. It was then plugged into a 4 pin molex by the manufacturer. I think the reason why it didn't work in the first place is because I connected a molex to 4-pin connector from that mess to the motherboard. Whoops..

So I guess I have to change my question now. Can the 3-pin fan connector work on the 4-pin header on my motherboard?
