Hi, my brother spilled water on my laptop and it stopped working, so i thought the problem might be the motherboard. I bought a new motherboard(it matches the part number). The pc does turn on and i hear a sound, but the screen is blk(totally off).so i changed the circuit board i/o and bought a new one. i still have the same problem, it turns on and the power button is on. Today i bought a new lcd cable , and waiting for it to arrive. But i was wondering if the problem might be from the processor. cause when i try to turn the CAPs lock on on the key board it doesnt turn on!!!! , the wireless light is on, power light is on, battery light is on, but the cylinder light(hard drive)doesnt blink, it lights for a sec when i turn it on and then it stops. when i took the ram off and turn the pc , the speakers work and they make a sound. so i am confused since i changed the motherboard , the power plug, the i/o board. could it be the processor ?!! (the screen still doesnt turn on, and gonna wait for lcd cable to see whats gonna happen). the fan turns for only a sec and suddenly stops.( i replaced the new motherboard to make sure its not a motherboard problem and still no use)
Items i bought : new motherboard-new I/o circuit board/lcd cable(didnt test it yet)

Solution
I think it's about time to invest in a new laptop. But because you say there is no hard drive light indicator, that could easily be a dead hard drive. Seriously though, sometimes it is better to just buy another computer than go through all of the trouble of finding new parts and installing them, not even knowing if what you're replacing will solve the issue.
