My recovery cd on acer travelmate 2350 doesn't lunch

I want to do recovery windows xp home edition on my laptop. but when i insert original recovery cd 1 nothing happen.
first boot order sets on cdrom.
thanks for any help!

I think my cd is working properly and i used it before truly.
also i can open cd content in my computer.
but i don't know if these reasons are enough to Confidence
