Hello, instead of buying e new pc I decided to re-use old parts such as HD, dvd reader, case, etc and replace the other ones myself to save money..

I went for AMD parts since i'v read here they are allot cheaper then Intel parts and give more power for their cost.

So i searched and got some stuff together:
Bundle AMD Bulldozer FX-8350 8x4,20GHz+16GB DDR3+ASUS Mainboard
COST = 350 euro or 300GBP

Sapphire 11199-16-20G AMD Radeon HD 7870 Dual-X 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card (HDMI, DVI-I, DVI-D, Display Port, PCI Express 3.0, 256-Bit, AMD Avivo HD)
COST = 180 euro or 154 GBP

Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze PSU
Cost = 80 euro or 68GBP

which brings up a total of 612 euro without shipping costs...
I was wondering if this is worth it? I believe these pieces are good but im not familiar with AMD, and I was wondering if i can get a new pc or better stuff for this price which is tbh a bit high for me. I thought doing it myself and using amd parts would make this allot cheaper.

THX
(my goal is to play high end games on it, doesnt have to be on ultra settings, the most important thing is that I can play them without lag (always had bad computers)

ATM I have an Intel core duo E8600 @ 3.33 Mhz
4GB ram
Geforce 9600 GT
32bit system
350W psu

I like this build.

Its OK but it can be improved , and the RAM is out of spec .
Ram should be 1.5 volts or less , not the 1.65 volt stuff listed .

For a budget build Id tend to suggest a the FX 6300 + CM Hyper 212 cooler
Asus M5A97 R2.0
And spend the money you save on a better graphics card .
Probably a GTX 760

The FX 6300 will easily OC to 4.2 GHz and probably much higher if you dot mind the fan working a bit harder and making some noise .
The Asus mb is better quality and its only limitation is that it can only run one graphics card . Not a big deal at this price point
