Recently I got a new graphic card and tried swapping it with the OEM card, just to find out it was incompatible ( amateur mistake ). In the process of taking out the card I feel like I damaged it. Ever since, my games and flash videos all have short lag spikes from time to time. Is there any way I can confirm if my video card has been damaged?

It took at least 30 minutes for me to get the graphic card out, since I really wasn't exactly sure how to get it out. I didn't realize that you had to unscrew the back of the card, so I lightly tried to force it out to no avail. When I finally got it out, I tried on the new graphic card just to notice that the back wouldnt fit in. So I placed my OEM back in. So yeah, no crack really, but it did take a lot of force.

Well, this has never happened prior to taking my graphic card out. If the game lagged, it was a sort of minor lag, and it NEVER happened to videos. Now, not only do internet videos lag, but I'm running games on low settings and lag spikes still occur.

First remove the graphics card, and put it back in make sure you put it back in properly, push it in with force, not too much that you feel is going to do damage. Then make sure the connectors are secure.

Update the drivers, if this does still not work reset your bios. If none of this works more details will be needed.
