H i have an ACER ASPIRE AX1 300 DESKTOP running on Vista home but may upgrade to 7. It is a compact tower. The on board graphics does not seem to be working so i need to replace with a stand alone one i would like a 2GB one but my system runs on DDR2 does this make any difference. Could you recommend a card

yes i know i will need to upgrade power was thinking of around 700 but obviously my main thing is sorting what graphics card i can have.
as a last resort i even considering buying a new tower and transferring board and bits over so room is not such an issue

since this system came with vista and there is no cd for it i would carefully check before upgrading or try to transfert the system in another case ,also i would check if the psu do not have proprietary connector for the board and get one that will fit the case to be able to handle a low profile graphic card ,that the best option you have with this system .
