Hello, sorry if this is the wrong place but I'm not sure where to put it. I just installed a video card to my computer (Radeon HD 6570) and anyway after a million reboots I finally got it working, however my sound is now gone.
My computer refuses to recognize any audio devices, I've gone to sounds on the control panel and it won't list on my on board audio card or headphones, the only thing listed is playon audio virtual device. In addition there is no speaker icon like there normally is in the system tray
I'm using a Hp Pavillion a1720n with Windows Xp professional sp3. I'm really wondering what I need to do, reinstall audio drivers maybe? I've already tried using slimdrivers but it didn't list anything to do with audio. Again the problem is the computer just won't recognize the speakers I've plugged in or headphones, all thats listed for sound is playon virtual audio device
Thanks in advance and Ill provide any additional information necessary
