couldn't get the java window to work, so checked javascript "on" and yes ti was. Lots of time and screwing around, removed Java 7.25 and reinstalled, no change. Took PC restore, about 1 week and rebooted, and javascript was fine, but then Windows wanted to update again, which I did. Now I'm back where I started.

Turned off ad blockers, and also my 2 virus programs, no change. I suspect a Windows Update problem, but I'm not skilled enough to know.

If I run the javascript console I get this msg. from the 'run audit' command:
RED DOT left margin:
Optimize the order of styles and scripts (4)
The following external CSS files were included after an external JavaScript file in the document head. To ensure CSS files are downloaded in parallel, always include external CSS before external JavaScript.
4 inline script blocks were found in the head between an external CSS file and another resource. To allow parallel downloading, move the inline script before the external CSS file, or after the next resource.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Chrome is browser, site is www.Honda.ca. When you go to build/price a car, a popup appears and you put in your postal code (zip). at that point, nothing happens, if you drag your mouse around enough you see the javascriptvoid(0) in the lower left of the monitor.

Already did that 2x. The only way I can get things to stabilize is to 'restore to earlier date' and not add the latest Windows update patches. That's my only result from troubleshooting - the windows update is the issue, not Oracle. I checked my other PC, new Dell, and it does work OK so now I have no clue. thanks anyway, Jim

I removed all java extensions for Chrome, and every small part left over missed by uninstall I could find. Then I tested the site that didn't work before, and now it does, so I will carry on without java extension(s) until I find I need them to avoid all the issues. thanks for your help though, Jim

Stabilized everything, then downloaded Java once again, and it failed, also the install plug applet only reloads the whole program again. then I installed http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ and ran it and...it works famously. so a very sincere "thanks". Jim
