I was given an Inspiron N5110 a couple years ago, and the warranty expired... right before my boyfriend dropped it! I sent it to our buddy, who replaced the hard drive. When I got it back, all that was on the desktop was the recycling bin. I'm trying to get the webcam to work. I downloaded skype, and the camera works when Skype is running, but only in that program. I can't adjust the camera settings. the control panel isn't recognizing the webcam, but it's recognized in the device manager, under "imaging devices" it reads "integrated webcam." so, if it works in Skype, what am I missing? how do I get Webcam Central back? is there a quick fix, so I don't play chase-the-links all day?
