Im building a base computer for gaming. I have 550$ to put into a power supply, cpu (preferably 4th gen), a case, a motherboard, and at least 4 gigs of ram. I will be upgrading in the future and will be adding onto it for gaming.

I do have a hdd and a dvd drive. I plan to get a GPU in a few months.

If Your near a micro center they do have lowest CPU and mb combo on intel CPU. For low end cost rig. Look at r200 cosair case and power supply's. For mb and CPU look at h87 mb and non k CPU chips. If your stuck buying four gig of ram buy one stick of good 1600 ram then when you can pick up another. Most newer mb run best with two matched dimms. Don't buy two two gig dims you fill up your slots.
