Bios did not detect harddisk Sata

my MOBO AN52S did not detect a Sata harddisk, i'd try to update the bios version but the mobo did not detect anyway. although my sata harddisk is a new one 'seagate 500gb'. anyone csn help me?

Make sure the data and power cable are connected on the drive and the drive s spinning...you may need to touch the drive to see if it spinning.
