I have been editing videos on a windows platform. below is my system specification.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 8Gb RAM, 500GB SATA HDD. and i do most of my editing with Adobe Premiere Pro CS5. I have desided to switch to Mac Platform, With the Following Specifications: Apple G5 2.0GHZ dual core, 8GB RAM, 750Gb Hdd. my question is compelling these to systems which one do you think will be better for me? cos i have intended learning Final cut later but i will be using Premiere pro for a while. Please advice me.

Your Quad core is obviously double the power of the mac. More if you consider later architecture and 20% higher stock clock rates.
You need to spend a lot on a 2nd hand mac to beat that if you need one.
