I have used the paper clip test and found that my PSU is working. If I leave the paper clip in the 24-pin connector (to short out the defective on/off case switch) and replug that back to the mobo the main fan on the mobo runs at top speed all the time. Why is that?

do not leave that clip there just do one thing just where u connect the on /off switch in the mobo short those terminals via a wire or anything this wud make ur pc power up whenever it is connected to power
