Sorry, didnt know where to type this so i shall put it here.

Anyways, when i was going to sleep last night i set my pc to "sleep" mode, then i accidentally pressed a btton in the keyboard and the pc went on, i didnt want to wait / etc so i just killed with the power switch. Now when i started it, said resuming windows and it froze there, so i killed it again with powerswitch, now i cant get past post, just a blank screen after it, tried clearing cmos, changing sata ports etc. is my only option to re-install windows or could i do something?

holding down the power button to turn off a PC can damage a hard disk / corrupt the data on a hard disk.

Just after post if you get the message "Boot MGR is missing, press CTRL ALT DEL to restart", all you have to do is boot to a windows disk an click repair. Otherwise you may have to re-install windows.

The worst thing that could have happened is your Hard disk has died.

the HDD i currently have is < 1 year old, i had 6 year old 320 gb hard drive that had + 20 000 hours on it, many, many power switch shutdowns etc, if i only could just find the old one i could get to windows.

my pc is useless, i should just throw it away, i have windows 7 OS on an USB stick, cleaned and formatted it to fat32, formatted my 1000gb hdd, went to bios set priority boot to the usb, save & exit = BOOTMRG not found, press ctrl+alt+del to restart, ok what the fuck, i have basically a "new" HDD since its formatted and its telling me that bootmrg is missing?

oh and i cant install windows to the other HDD cause of some stupid reason, everytime i try to do that it automatically goes to stupåid ubuntu startup menu.
