My Lenovo K450 came with a TSSTcorp DVD-RW SH-216BB optical drive. I can open it with a keyboard function or file explorer. But the following front panel feaures are missing:

Emergency eject hole
LED activity indicator
Eject/Load button

Is there a workaround or should I replace the drive? All suggestions appreciated.

No problem just open the cabinet front panel. Then remove that tray which is hiding your drive re screw you drive with correct position. Then all will finished

Thank you very much, mauller07.

Perfect solution. Lenovo and Samsung have poor documentation and support.

If you DVD drive is repaired if you cal any service person to replace it, Please note him when he changing the new and old drive. its the normal drive like this http://www.darlingtoncomputerrepairs.co.uk/images/categ... and both will be the same. so there will be a

Emergency eject hole
LED activity indicator
Eject/Load button
