hello, i want to upgrade to 4770k.
i`m searching for the best motherboard who can run sli and have slots for 4 - 5 HDD + 2 SSD.
i heard 4770k had some issues, is it true ? or they are already fixed ?
or better choose another CPU ? like 3770k or 3930k ?

well whats your budget? a good mobo under 150$ is Asrock Z87 extreme 4, it has 3 way SLI capability, and intel Z87 has 6 sata III prots and more sata II, so connectiong HDD and SSD shouldn't be a problem.

1) Haswell Has more Sata III ports, However HDDs do NOT really take advantage of SATA III ports. Only gain is the "SHORT" burst speed using SATA III. Avg Throughput Is NOT improved.
But on the other side of the coin - two years from Now the added Sata III ports may be a factor as SSDs come down in price and Improved SSDs come out.

2) SLI/Xfire. Haswell increases the PCI-e lanes - But still limited to pci-e 3.0 x8/x8 when using two GPUs. Think this is the same for IB as it also offers x8/x8 3.0. Added - 3-way SLI on haswell is generally limited to x8/x4/x4. End Added

3) OC: The IB CPUs do Overclock easier, and generally to a Higher level. But need to consider:
... To be Noticable in real like, NOT benchmarks, you need a 10->20% increase in CPU speed to be noticable in real life day-2-day usage.
... Haswell is slightly more Eff. Only about 5% on a clock per clock basis.
... Net result, You would have to OC the IB CPU about 20% over the Haswell CPU to really be noticable. IE if You hit 4.7 With the Haswell, you would need to hit about 5.2 GHz for the IB CPU to really detect a difference.
ON Hitting 4.6/4.7 With Haswell, See Tom's test on $160 Haswell MBs:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/z87-express-motherb...

On MB differences:
.. Increased Native suport for SATA III (6 GB/s) 2 vs 6 - Did not add 3rd party Sata III controllers as SSDs perform best on Native Intel SATA III Ports.
.. Increased USB 3 connectivity
.. Increased PCI-e lanes
.. HDMI IN (only on a select few of Haswell MB)
Plus probably some unknows.
Tried to keep apples to apples so I compared a Gigabyte Z77 UD5H to a Gigabyte Z87 UD5H.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submi...

Bottom Line, I think the advanatages of Haswell, a year from now, will outway the increased OC ablility of th IB CPU/platform.

@MondayKittySavior what exactly do you plan to do with your build. if gaming then go with 4670K, should give you almost same OC and gaming results but its a lot cheaper. if your doing some video editing then you should stay with 4770K or even pick a 3930K or equivalent IvyB E processor.

Are you talking about the USB 3.0 bug? If so, then yes, they have gradually phased out the stepping issue that caused it.

As for the mobo, I like the Extreme line from Asrock. What one is best for you depends on your budget, but they have models across the price spectrum. I would start here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

If you can get the 3770K for, say, $25 less, then get that. Haswell isn't that big of a leap forward, unless you really need the storage options it has with its six native SATA 6Gb/s ports.
