hey guys ive got my new computer and ive put in my old hdd the old hdd works on my old computer but when i put it into my new computer it comes up with windows error checker i tried to boot and got a few otption like start up repair clicked it and the only error is
Root cause found:
ALCs on file C:\Windows\System32\slui.exe are not proper. Old value=0x1f01df
repair action: access control repair
Result: completed successfully. error code =0x0
 
Solution


Assuming you have the actual Product key, you can download (legally) the ISO for your version.
Set the DVD as first in the boot order in the BIOS.
Boot from that DVD.
Install Windows
If you have an OEM version, you will almost certainly have to call Microsoft. They may or may not authorize that Prod key on this new hardware.

Hey this is not a HDD problem this is due to Change in Mother Board. When you switch HDD from one mother board to another you need to reinstall OS then only it can get proper driver for that Board. So please Re-install the OS on the new PC and let me know the Status

f you have an OEM copy of Windows, after replacing the motherboard, it will fail to activate because there are no transfer rights in the OEM version of Windows. A retail version should activate, and you can contact Microsoft's activation call center if you have any problems
