The asus has a fan type cooler and a boost clock of 941.

At the same price, I might suggest the EVGA GTX780 superclock.
It has a boost clock of 993.
More importantly, it has a titan direct exhaust cooler.
They get the heat directly out of the case.
Other coolers like the asus do a good job in an open test bed of getting heat off of the gpu chip.
But then they dump the heat back into the case where case cooling has to deal with it.
That heats up both the gpu AND the cpu.
Not good.

Byogamingpc....I plan to use the Bit Phoenix Prodigy case, with an h100i cooler. What would you recommend now, with that info? (I want to use the windowed panel also)

Geofelt, how about

vs
the one you suggested?

Does it actually push the hot air out the back? I'm confused a bit so would love you to explain it.

I like that one equally well.

Yes, all the hot air exits trough the rear. It is actually not a hot card, I never hear the fan.

Late coming in ...... but another feature difference on the DCII is that it has a non-reference PCB and beefed up VRM which allows for better and more stable overclocking. The SC uses the stick PCB and VRM

Zalman Z11 Pro external venting case with pretty lights and lots of fans, for a low price.

Brilliant.
