requirements psu for gtx 260

Solution
I'd say you need about 28-35A on the 12V rail for this card, depending on the rest of your components.
Your PSU has a weak 12V rail: +12V 22A. Generally this PSU is made the old-fashion way, where +3.3 and +5V rails had most power (actually it has it distrubuted pretty evenly across the rails). Nevertheless, to enjoy your GTX260 you have to replace it.

I wouldnt trust this power supply to power anything short of a case fan.

Before you order another power supply, make sure to consider the quality of the unit. Based on the high wattage and the low price, you can almost tell that it is not a well made power supply. Sure, it will probably power your GTX260, but there is a risk of the power supply failing.

I only run my computer on 520W, but it is a good quality unit. A good quality unit makes all the difference.
