Hi, i have a friend who recently bought a brand new netbook, and it came with windows 8. however she has heard horrible things about it and wanted windows 7. i installed windows 7 on it, however the C: Drive, only has 24 gb as it is a small SSD meant to be a system drive only. is there any way for me to stop programs from installing on C? and essentially idiot proofing it? so all programs will install on her D drive? i already went in and set up the default installation folder and download folder be on the D drive, but apparently some things are still installing on the c drive.
I remember being in college, and each computer had it's designated boot drive, that would boot into windows. then it would hook up to a network and access our individual hard drives that were stored somewhere else. is it possible for me to do something similar? and make her C drive invisible to her? but still make the computer boot from it? while everything else would install on her D drive only?
