Hey guys, so last night I had a crisis with a chassis intrude error that to my suprise I solved this morning with a fresh mind. Basically one of the jumpers fell out and it wasnt on the chassis pins. Anyways my sytem I believe is almost ready to go but my two front fans are not on. I believe I have to unplug an adapter and then plug that into one of the fans, my manual for the case is beyond horrible so if anybody can clear this part up for me Id appreicate it.

Secondly, I have windows up and running it seems. Ive got the desktop windows on, with the start menu all that, so my question is does that mean my optical and hard drives are booted up and good to go? and if they are what the next step I should take, Im thinking getting some internet going and then installing my graphics card..but Ive also heard I need to download m/b chipsets along with some other stuff and Im not sure how to do that. I Know this is a lot to cover and I thank people on this site for putting up with all these possibly stupid questions Ive had the last couple days. Thank you in advance.

Solution
If you have your OS installed than your HDD is fine, otherwise you wouldn't have gotten this far. To test the cd drive just click the button and see if it opens, if you installed the OS using a CD then of course your drive works. What kind of power plugs do your two fans in the front have? They will generally be a 4 pin molex or a 3/4 pin fan connector. If it's molex just connect it to the molex from your PSU, if it's a 3/4 pin motherboard connection find ones on your motherboard to connect to.

Your motherboard should have came with a CD with all the necessary drivers on it, plop that in and install everything. Then hook up your internet and graphics card. Install graphics drivers from the internet afterwards.
