First I want to apologize if I'm not posting in the correct area or irritate someone. My friend told me to post here in hopes on getting help. ok, I'm just going to get to the nitty gritty. I've put everything together yesterday and was 100% working fine (stock CPU cooler). loaded up WoW everything was good, no problems. woke up this morning and decided to put the noctua nh-d14. I didn't install it from the start because it's too big and it was touching my ram. decided to move the ram up a slot and the 200 mm fan was not clearing from the inside. So, took it out and installed it from the outside and boom, works fine. **these are the changes i've made** since the d14 has a 3 pin fan connector and my motherboard has a 4 pin receiver (for the cpu fan) - i put the d14 connector in the power fan receiver (which is 3 pin) works fine, (let me know if this is a mistake so i can try and fit it on the cpu receiver) . All the other fans are connected to the molex pin that comes with the case that attaches to the modular power supply. Also, the outside 200mm fan works fine. ** this is where is fucks up**. after about 10min all fans just stop spinning except for the cpu fan and the fans on the graphics card. I check HWmonitor and everything SEEMS to be running ok. got low temps and everything but i'm just scared that since fans aren't working, no air is moving through the case. I'm so fucking confused/frustrated, anyone please help me...

yep, switched it back. I noticed that i touched the molex cabled that connected to the power supply and I saw the lights and the fans start working. I moved it and it stopped. I think my cable mind be messed up. ugh... I can't get it to work or have it laying in a way that works.

exactly what I did. rewired everything. The molex connector was bad. Everytime I touched it slightly the fans would turn on. The second I let it go, they turn off. I'll just get another one from the local comp store. thanks for your prompt responses.

took it out and placed it back into CPU header. Then replaced that molex cable that was messing up. BAM! everything works the way it's supposed to. Now I just gotta get some games going, haha. thanks for the help, sir. Really appreciate it. it was my first build so I was nervous as to why things weren't working. Some chips and dip and 3 coronas later I was able to get everything 100% >;) cheers!
