Hey guys
I just bought a razer blackwidow ultimate 2013 stealth. The keyboard works great and i like it but i have one annoying problem with it. Whenever i start my computer up, the keyboard doesnt work on the start up screen. Like the screen where you enter your password to log in to the computer. I have to use a on screen keyboard to do so. Once the computer starts up and i get to the desktop it starts working. This problem is due to the razer software synapse 2.0, because the moment that software starts running in the background, the keyboard starts working. I also have a razer deathadder mouse and that works fine.
So just to recap
Keyboard lights up and has power but wont respond on the startup log in screen
have to use to use onscreen keyboard to log in,keyboard starts working when razer synapse software starts up after log in.

Any solutions?
Thank you

Is the Razer connected to a USB 3.0 or 2.0 port? If 3.0, try changing to a 2.0 port. Also, some motherboard BIOSes will allow you to enable "legacy" devices. If your does, enable that setting (if the port change doesn't work) and try again.

Good luck!

From the Razer site:

My Razer product does not work at startup after a cold start, what should I do?
Make sure that USB ports are not in hibernation mode. Please go to your Windows “Device Manager” and click the + sign next to Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Click on any “Root Hub” and select “Properties.” Click the Power Management tab and ensure that “Allow computer to turn off this device to save power” and proceed to do this under each Root Hub. Also, from the Control Panel and Power Options, select the Hibernation Tab and deselect “Enable hibernate support.”
