Computer shuts down when running games

My computer shuts down completely when running games. Around 25 minutes to an hour my computer would shut down. My specs are:

- intel core i5 4670k 3.4Ghz
- Msi Z87-G45 Mobo
- Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 2GB Superclocked with ACX cooling
- 8 GB DDR3 Ram
- Seasonic M12ii 650 Watt PSU 12v rails

I check my temps constantly while gaming and my GPU is around 66c going up to 69c.
My Cpu around 52c going up to 55c so it cant be a temp problem.

Probably a driver problem then. Automatic reboots are due to blue screen most of the time.

Go to Advanced System Settings, Under Startup & Recovery, and uncheck Automatic Restart for System Failures. Next time it happens you'll get a BSOD instead and you'll have time to write down the error message. BSOD are often drivers related and in the message there are often files involved, write them down, they will indicate which driver is faulty.

Thats what I am thinking too because when I switched the GPU with a less powerful xfx radeon 1 gb ddr5 (dont remember the exact name) It would never turn off.

Still it doesn't mean the problem is with your new 760 GPU. Or it could simply be a driver issue, try to uninstall AMD drivers and install latest drivers from nvidia website. Also did you monitor the temps of the 760 while gaming?

This could also be a bad PSU as suggested by others. Since the 760 draws a lot more power than the old Radeon card... Do you have another spare PSU or can you borrow one from a friend to test? Of course the other PSU would have to be 600-Watt or more.

yes i did uninstall the radeon drivers the thing is i had the 760 reference card first but i had this problem i returned it and got replacement for the meanwhile and now i just got my new 760 and the problem came back. I use evga precision x to monitor my gpu temp it never goes higher than 76c but tpday i played Bioshock Infinite for 2 hours stright and no shutdown.
