hello everybody ,
i need to built 3d workstation for working on apps like MAYA , CINEMA 4D , HOUDINI , AFTER EFFECTS , NUKE ,and for little bit gaming to and for that i have made a list also about parts like....

Processor
Intel i7-3970X Processor Extreme Edition LGA2011

RAM
Corsair Vengeance DDR3 64 GB (8 X 8GB)

Motherboard
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme X79 chipset ( might do O.C in future )

Hard drives
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 2 TB
SSD : Samsung 840 Pro Series 256 GB

GPU
Asus NVIDIA GTX TITAN 6GB

That much information i have collected but please suggest me on :

GPU should i go for quadro series or stay with TITAN

i have no idea about power supply

and do i require a cooling system also or just fans will do fine .

and also recommend some good case.

or i also found the alternative of going for dual xeon processors. is that right or should i stick with 3970x .

This is essentially what I need to build too! So far I have the same mobo as you, and just the i7-3930k (not extreme) but maybe it has benefits to it I should consider?

I was looking at the quadro k4000 based on reviews and this link : http://www.renderosity.com/nvidia-quadro-k4000-in-review-cms-16633 but I haven't researched the titan at all.

my set up so far looks like this:
CPU: i7-3930k
CPU cooler: phanteks ph-tc14pe
GPU: PNY Quadro k4000
mobo: ASUS Rampage IV extreme
storage: Samsung 840 pro 256 gb ssd AND Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB
memory: G.Skill Sniper Gaming Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
power: Rosewill Lightning 800W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Optical Drive: LG BH16NS40...

Great build, the titan is fine if you have the budget, as for case I'm going to recommend a 600t or 650d ever one is going to keep all your components nice and cool. I prefer 600t.

For psu get a xfx xxx 750w semi modular psu, great psu always recommend xfx.

phanteks ph-tc14pe is a great cpu cooler, will cool you cpu very very well. If you really want to spend even more on the cpu cooler than grab a h100i but remember there are pros and cons with watercooling.

But I really have no idea what I'm doing! I want to keep an eye on your thread though, I'm trying to find all the helpful information I can :)

I7-3930k has the same performance, its just way cheaper.
i would wait for i7-4930k

Fractal define r4
Nzxt h630

Choose between air cooler and custome watercooling kit.

A good 550-600w+ psu is plenty

Gtx titan might be not the best choice

Whats your budget ?
