I have a Daskeyboard professional Cherry MX Blue edition. My family has been extremely bothered with it considering that I type at 120wpm. Since Daskeyboard has their back to school sale, I'm thinking of getting either the Cherry MX Brown or Cherry MX Red version so that my family isn't bothered as much. However, I REALLY like the feel of the Cherry MX Blue switches. So my question is, which one has the most similar feel to the Cherry MX Blue version?

Solution
the browns are the closest, but if you are looking for silence, neither will give you a good result

you could slap some o-rings to your keyboard for 16 bucks. the clickiness of the blue switches will be present but the noise will be severly reduced. much cheaper to go this route than getting a new keyboard altogether

My keyboard is also pretty beaten up. With the O-ring modification, will I still have the same feel? Also, when you say the brown keys are the closest, that means by feel, right? Do they have that clicky feel without the clicky sound, or neither?

I personally love the sound. However, when I'm playing Starcraft 2 at 1am and it sounds like I'm slamming my keyboard on my desk with the keys faced down, my family hates it.

the orings should help quite a bit however the click will still be there. if you want a new keyboard altogether (beats the hell out of me how you can wear down a DAS keyboard), this could be an option for a low price

or this one. the g710+ from logitech already has orings with brown switches. however it does cost a lot more

My daskeyboard got a little bit beat up over two international flights on the top of my luggage. Surprisingly, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected it to be. I already placed the order for the new keyboard. Thanks a bunch for your help!

Guess I'm a bit late, but yes MX Browns are basically considered a quieter Blue. They dont click on the actuation point (where the keystroke registers, you can feel it as the "bump" when you push down the key).
The O-Rings prevent you from bottoming out the key, which makes noise.
