PSU and video card combo

So I'm looking to upgrade my good ol' 5870HD to a GTX 770. My friend recently bought one and had to upgrade his PSU so I just want to double check to make sure the one I'm getting has enough power.

If anyone has a better PSU recommendation please share! Looking to stay $150 and under as this combo is already running me $700.

  1. Perfect combo , buy it ^ You can SLI 770'S with that PSU :D
  2. I like the PSU a lot better then the SC series GFX card .... weak VRM on stock PCB limits overclock ability ... Id get the Gigabyte

You will need alot of room at the bottom of the case for all the unused extra cables .... the HX850 gets a 10.0 jonnyguru performance rating, is semi modular AND is $150 after MIR

Interestingly enough, did a build last night w/ a TX850 w/ two GTX 770s in a Corsair 500R (I Looooove that case). Not to point a finger at this model just cause we got a bad one but failed boot w/ CPU LED drove me crazee for hours .... was able to boot with 3 of the 4 PCIE cables connected but not w/ 4.
  3. I didn't realize the one I posted wasn't modular. Going to go with the HX850 instead. Thank you :D
