Hi,

Just when I finalized Xonar DX as the best available option in the given circumstances, it has gotten out-of-stock at both of my preferred retailers!!! What's worse is that the new lot is not coming anytime soon.

Well I think it could probably be a blessing in disguise, as now I've found a used X-Fi Titanium PCIe available for less than approximately half the price of DX and SBZ.

So I humbly request the experts/gurus out there to urgently help me here one more time. So many mixed opinions I've read about x-fi titanium in the last 24 hours that I'm completely oblivious of it's exact reputation.

Questions:

1. I need a good gaming sound card which could perform acceptably with movies/music too. What do you think about it guys? I'm getting it very cheap so don't want to miss this one too.

2. Forgot this query while I was seeking help for DX. Titanium PCIe too, like DX, does not have a dedicated "headphone out". So what connectivity options to look for in the headphone?

3. What is the maximum headphone impedance value the titanium PCIe will handle comfortably (w/out external amp)?

Thank you very much in advance guys.

I highly doubt that we live in the same country.

Otherwise yeah why not :).

Have you got any idea about this x-fi titanium PCIe, hence my queries?
