Everything spun up and seemed to start working but I had no video output. No beeps. The only thing I noticed was the gpu fan started, stopped, then started back up once I started it. This is pretty much exactly what happens each time I try to post. I only have the CPU, graphics card, usb keyboard/mouse, and one stick of RAM (only stick) when I tried to POST. I reseated everything multiple times. When there is no RAM the cpu fan spins much slower for some reason, but still no beeps. Any ideas? Thanks

My set up.

did you get a motherboard speaker? i dont believe that they come with onboard speakers anymore and many cases do not either

however there should be some debugging led lights scattered over different spots of the board..do any of these light up?

the speaker connect to pins on your board it won't use headphones. however i might guess power issues if you arent even seeing any lights on the board

what is your cpu cooler?

and i assume you used motherboard standoffs instead of screwing it right into the case?

I don't even see lights on the board though? I connected the pics of the HD audio to the case and put the headphones into the case.

Well at first I used a coolermaster hyper 212, but I went back to the stock cooler to try and make everything work.

the system speaker is a bit different than the hd audio plug you connected. An example is this: http://www.amazon.com/PC-Internal-Mini-Onboard-Speaker/dp/B002W4M0DW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376697574&sr=8-1&keywords=mobo+speaker

Which connects to pins (in my case they were pins near the power led and switch pins). It isnt connected to your sound and will beep on its own during the post sequence. From what I know, most motherboards don't have them anymore, and most cases do not come with them either. Since it's cheap and helpful you might as well get one. Although, if the led lights on the motherboard arent even working right then you might not get much new info from it. Still, it's definitely worth a shot.

try your psu first (if you can return it that may be faster/easier than an rma)

also, you made sure to plug in both the mobo and cpu power (2 different connections) and make sure they are in all the way (the tab at the end of the cable should hook with the one on the socket)

my board at least has a light that turns on green when the board detects power, does your board have that?
