Hi guys hows it going, in my previous posts i said i was looking for a cheap gaming PC under 500, well now what im looking for and capable of buying is one no more than 600. What i want is a PC mainly for gaming like mine craft, skyrim, and so on with a great graphics card. But the cheaper the better. im also looking for cheap recording equipment so that i may start my own youtube gaming channel. As i said before cheap, but with good quality. Any advice or tips would be much appreciated, i am really looking forward to this and cannot wait, all i need is a helping hand. So any advice and tips is welcome, thank you!

I'm leaving a bit of your budget up for your recording equipment, I don't really know that much in that department, leaving this part for someone else.

Price breakdown by merchant: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1sT8O/by_merchant/
Benchmarks: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1sT8O/benchmarks/

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($119.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.98 @ Outlet PC)
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($56.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Video...
Well cheap and good would have to be a custom built pc. Almost all pre built pcs in that range have 1 or 2 series older graphics cards that offer not necessarily sub par, but sub custom parts. If you open a thread under systems with a price, what you want to do, and when you need it, someone can put together a list of parts for you. Plus you get to say, yeah I made this, and you know its quality, good performance, and built solid.

That is what I've heard too, i was almost going to buy an Alienware desktop for about 700 bucks cause i didn't know any better and i thought "well why not" until surprisingly my mom jumped in and said i should look into it a bit more and that maybe i should build my own. This is what ive come up with:

AMD Athlon X4 750K Processor
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard
XFX Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition Graphics Card
4GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 RAM
500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive
NZXT Source 210 Case
430W Corsair CX430 Power Supply

Now im not really sure if its a good build or if i even chose right, please tell me wether or not i should go with this, the total would be around 400 to 430.

I did bro, no worries. Thank you for actually showing me an example, I'm not too savvy with computers, but i will defiantly check it out and maybe change a thing or two. How about the build i posted? Is that a good one? I know its a bit basic, but from what I've learned so far its good to start.

Oh, you see i would have never known that. What would you change about my build? And what would you add?

Actually, as I said, I would go for the build that I proposed above. Overclocks well if you want to try to get into that (not forced to), can upgrade by a lot on the CPU, good GPU... Can still upgrade the GPU, will only have to change the power supply if you get to a certain point... Just a great build all around plus there's a lot of great promotions on it right now.

Well thank you, i think i will go with your build actually. Do the prices fluctuate over time? Currently im still in high school on my last year, after that im free to buy and build what i want.

If you are only going to buy in one whole year, I can tell you without a doubt that all of the stuff that I proposed you here will be "outdated". I mean, it will still work perfectly fine, but there will be some new technologies out by then, and... You know, always buy the most recent things you can get and so on.

But to really answer your question, yes, prices does fluctuate a lot, almost every single day. So always make sure about the current day's deals before you buy anything.

Im not going to be waiting a year, one thing i do know is, like you said, is to get the most up to date stuff. Im looking to buy in about 8 months maybe less, would that be a problem?

The things that I proposed you will still be "outdated" by then. Just wait until you are really close to be able to buy it, and then make a new thread, we'll be pleased to answer you again, or maybe by then, you'll have learned enough of it to even find out yourself what is the best for you ! :)
