Hello sir,

I was looking for 2nd hand cards and saw some good deals on ebay. Saw a 3 months old amd sapphire redeon HD7970 (Something ghz edition) selling at 200$ and a 5 months old asus nvidia gtx 680 at 230$. Currently I have a amd sapphire radeon HD6670 but i cant play crysis 3 with a good settings.

Mostly I play Crysis 3, Battelfield 3 and Black ops 2. and I love to play high resolution games with maximum settings but my card never allowed me. And I don’t have the money to buy any new high end card. 

So can you tell me which one will be better for me. I don’t think the offer will be there for a long time. So any quick help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Shawn

Hi there,

gtx 680 is the best deal that anyone can get at this price. But the 7970 is only 3 months old and you can save your 40$. With the games you mentioned you’re going to get more or less same performance out of them.

I think something is terribly wrong with the 680. Otherwise only a lunatic is going sell a 4 month old 680 at 230$ !!

I will stick with the 7970

AND Yes for those cards You have to buy power supply (atleast 550w) with Gcard power connector cables.

Its 60$ If you go with the 7970 and get another 30$ then easily you can buy one for your self.

Hope that helps.
