GTX 690, 780, or wait for new AMD Cards?

Hi.

There's been a few slightly used 690's being sold on ebay recently and I was curious as to whether I should pick one up or just buy a brand new 780 for around the same price.

I've also heard the new AMD cards should be coming out in a couple months and I'm wondering if I should just wait for those instead.

Also curious as to how these new cards will perform when compared to the higher end current Nvidia card. Would a 690 still last some time before I have to replace it?

690 >780 > 770 > 680 - but in all honesty what is your current setup

I'm currently using a 570 and planned on building a whole new computer all together.

When are you planning to build your new pc, what kind of pc would you like to build, and budget?
I would not buy used GPU's unless they are highly rated sellers - warranty still on them, but even then I would get a new one because I would then know how it has been maintained.

I would like building it as soon as possible. Budget's around $1500 dollars and I'd like to be able to play most of the games coming out in the near future as close to 60 fps at max settings unless that's unreasonable for the money I have. The other question I was having was what type of CPU works fine for something like a 690 without bottlenecking it.

As for the used 690, the seller has 100% positive feedback and the card still has warranty.

Question, what kind of case size do you want, and are you gonna get more PCI components?

The GTX 780 SC http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CUIVSNS/ref=as_li_q... can overclock near the speeds of a 690 if you get a good one but if not, it's still a much better value for the performance/price.

I'm probably getting a mid or full sized atx case. And the 780 seems like a pretty solid buy considering I can run it in SLI in the future should I decide to buy another one. The 7990 is also something I hadn't considered so thanks for pointing that out, I'm pretty sure that price drop is recent right?

Thanks for the help :)
