Specs:
ASUS Sabertooth X79 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 2011 130W
COOLER MASTER Silent Pro 850W
Antec KUHLER H2O 920 Liquid Cooling System
Corsair Force Series 3 CSSD-F90GB3-BK 2.5" 90GB SATA III
Patriot Intel Extreme Master 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 2133
eVGA GTX 650 Ti Boost

Problem:

I went on vacation for 3 weeks. I return to find that my CPU now idles at 60°-70°C with 2-7% load.

I've checked the mount for the cooler and it's firmly attached to the CPU, no doubt about that. The two fans attached to the radiator are working properly and the radiator is clean.

The best I can come up with is that maybe the Khuler 920 is going bad. Please help with troubleshooting?

If you can, try increasing the speed of your rad fans. If nothing changes, chances are likely that the pump has failed.

I've been thinking that, but if the pump has failed then shouldn't I be outright overheating as opposed to running hot? Also, I'm not sure if that's true considering the software implies that the pump is running... granted it's not always accurate. I'll just have to find a new heatsink to test this out, but I want to keep hammering at solutions.

I'm pushing the upper limits of the radiator fan already, as you suggested. That doesn't seem to be changing much. HOWEVER, comma, when I lower the rad fan to 1500RPM as opposed to 2500RPM, it raises about 5°C.

Update: I'm going to try and get a new heatsink to see if it's the pump.

I considered that. But I used Real-Temp to counter check. Also.. why would it just recently start reading incorrectly? or negatively, for that matter.

Update: Restarted computer and couldn't boot because CPU reaching 100°C and stayed there. On laptop now... Looking for an adequate heatsink. Also, I did check BIOS since you recommended it. Same story there. :(
----
UPDATE:

Cores are idling at 44° - 43° - 42° - 45° C after I pulled the heatsink off and reattached it. The ambient temperature in my house/room is 24°C +- 2°.

So am I fretting over nothing? That being said, I'm just not hip on reaching 100°C when my CPU is at 100% load.

I appreciate that. I didn't reapply the paste simply because I was antsy but I'll re-do it. I'll also be in contact with antec about it along with asus.

Update you guys as I go along! You've all been awesome

It took some time to get the parts in but I took off the cooler, cleaned the old thermal paste off everything, and reapplied Arctic Silver 5 according to their directions for the i7. I'm currently running at a an average 36°C, idle. It must have been an issue with contact. Thank you all for your input! Seriously sped up my troubleshooting time. :D
